Leased land will be taken back
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 4: Kerala Revenue Minister K P Rajendran told the State Assembly today that government land leased to plantation companies would be taken back if they violated the lease deeds.
Responding to a submission by Mr P C George (KC-S), he said sale of government leased land by plantation companies would also be invalidated for which necessary instructions had been give to the district collectors.
Earlier, Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac told the House that the Kerala State Lotteries would be restructured in the context of fall in the sale of its tickets.
Replying to the notice for an adjournment motion sought to be moved by Mr V D Satheesan (Cong), he said strict action would be taken against lotteries of other states if they were found violating Section IV of the Central Act. The Vigilance Department was inquiring into such complaints and action would be taken against the erring lotteries on getting the Vigilance report, he added.
