Kerala Govt contention 'absolutely false': Laxmi Gopakumar
Kochi, Oct 4 (UNI) Actress Laxmi Gopakumar today told the Kerala High Court that the state Government's contention that she was not interested in pursuing her complaint of harassment against former state minister P J Jospeh was 'absolutely false'.
In a counter-affidavit, the Chennai-based Ms Gopakumar said before the court that she was not interested in a judicial inquiry ordered by the Kerala Government into her allegations against Mr Joseph.
'The Kerala Government already has its own IG's report and the government contention that I am not interested in the matter is absolutely false. I am still aggrieved with the insult and outraging of modesty,' Ms Gopakumar said.
She contended that the former Minister had himself suggested the names of three judges for holding a judicial inquiry into the matter.
Ms Gopakumar filed the affidavit in response to a petition by All India Mahila Congress secretary Simi Rosabel, seeking registration of a criminal case against Mr Joseph, who quit as Public Works Minister after a preliminary inquiry report by IGP B Sandhya that there was some substance in Ms Gopakumar's complaint. It needed further probe.
Ms Gopakumar had accused Mr Joseph of misbehaving with her during a Chennai-Kochi Kingfisher Airlines flight on August three.
