Justice Amar Dutt appointed as Chief Vigilance Commissioner

Chandigarh, Oct 4 (UNI) The Punjab Government today appointed Justice (retd) Amar Dutt as the State Chief Vigilance Commissioner.

The appointment of Justice Amar Dutt had been made under section 4 (1) of the Punjab State Vigilance Commission Act, 2006, a spokesman of the Punjab government said in a statement issued here.

The Act was passed in the recently held Vidhan Sabha session, paving the way for the constitution of the Commission.
