Heavy rains likely at Andaman

Pune, Oct 4 (UNI) The southwest monsoon subdued over Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Region Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

In the regions where southwest monsoon withdrawal has taken place day tempatures were appreciably above normal in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh and were above normal in remaining parts of Punjab.

Night tempratures were appreciably above normal in south east Rajasthan and were above normal in Uttar Pradesh and in some parts of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and were normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in remaining parts of Haryana and of Himachal Pradesh.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few paces in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, south Gujarat State, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and north Gujarat State.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Marathwada, costal Andhar Pradesh, Rayalseema and interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Sub- Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha.
