Haryana women sports meet begins Oct 6

Chandigarh, Oct 4 (UNI) The Haryana Sports and Youth Welfare Department will organise the 20th state level women sports meet at Karnal from October 6 to 8.

While giving this informtion, an official spokesman of the Department said a meeting of the contingent incharges and technical officers will be held at Karan Stadium in Karnal tomorrow.

He said the sportspersons who secure first, second and third positions in the meet would get cash prizes of Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 200 respectively.

He said competitions would be held in various sports disciplines, including athletics, gymnastic, table tennis, kho-kho, handball and volleyball.
