Govt considering probe into the functioning of CESS
Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 4 (UNI) The Kerala government is seriously considering an inquiry into the functioning of the Center for Earth Science Studies (CESS), Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan informed the Assembly today.
The government had received certain complaints about CESS, that it had been deviating from its vision, he said in a written reply.
Mr Achuthanandan said CESS had reached certain agreements with ten foreign universities and were working with them.
Though CESS was established to promote and establish scientific and technological research and development studies in earth sciences, it had conducted studies in planning and decentralisation sectors, he said adding that the government had also received complaints in this regard.
