Four convicted for murder of pimp and his companion
New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) A Delhi Court has sentenced life imprisonment to four persons for killing two persons, including a pimp, in Lajpat Nagar area of South Delhi four years ago.
Additional Sessions Judge Vinod Kumar convicted Joginder Singh, Ramnath, Gulzar and Manjit Nagar and sentenced them to life term for killing Virender Sukhwani and Kiran on June 17, 2002.
According to the prosecution, Virender was running a call girl racket from the house and he had enmity with Joginder.
The stolen goods recovered from the convicts proved that the intention of the convicts was robbery and murder, observed the court.
Joginder, who hails from Ghaziabad, with other three convicts had killed the duo to rob them of their money.
Another accused, a minor, is being tried by the Juvenile Court.
Nagar from Dadri in Uttar Pradesh was yet to be arrested and had been declared proclaimed offender under the sections 82 and 83 of the CrPC.
Ramnath and Gulzar also belong to Dadri.
Rest of them were arrested by the Delhi Police from different places in Uttar Pradesh during the investigation.
