Eicher Motors CV sales up by 15%

New Delhi, Oct 04 (UNI) Eicher Motors recorded sale of 2341 units of commercial vehicles during September 2006, registering a growth of 15 per cent over the corresponding period last year.

A total of 271 units were exported as compared to 199 units during last year.

The total sales of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) in September 2006 were 2008 units and 333 units in comparison to 1778 units and 258 units in September 2005, registering a growth of 13 per cent and 29 per cent respectively.

''It is encouraging to see increasing acceptance of our new products, E2 range of LCVs as well as Terra 16, 16 T GVW tipper,'' company's Chief Executive Commercial Vehicle Division A Ramasubramanian said.

These are helping us grow in a competitive market and also reflect that our products are delivering on our promise of better performance and resulting in increased benefits for the customers, he added.
