Cong MP wants CBI probe in signature forging
New Delhi, Oct 4: Member of the Standing Committee on Coal, Steel and Mines Chandra Shekhar Dubey has demanded a CBI probe from the Prime Minister into the alleged forging of his signature and letter pad by a private company to withdraw his stand on the issue raised against coal theft by the firm.
In his letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Parliamentarian from Dhanbad said he wanted the truth to be out and the guilty punished as they were not only trying to sully his image but also put his credibility at stake.
''The company 'M/S Aryan Coal Beneficiaries Private Limited', which had forged my signature and letter pad to 'declare' that I was 'withdrawing' my representations on the issue, was involved in coal theft and illegal activities at South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), stated the MP in his petition to the Prime Minister.
It was against this firm that I had raised objections detailing its 'misdeeds' and hence, would want the CBI to look into the entire issue and take serious actions against the guilty, the letter added.
