CITU organises march to highlight unorganised workers plight

Vijayawada, Oct 4 (UNI) The Centre for Indian Trade Union (CITU) National Secretary K Hemalatha today flagged off a march to campaign on issues pertaining to unorganised workers in the state.

Workers from Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari districts participated in the march, which would reach Hyderabad on October 19.

CITU State President R Sudha Bhaskar was present on the occasion.

A large public meeting would be held in Hyderabad on October 19.

The leaders would submit a memorandum to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy on the unorganised workers issue.

The CITU also demanded that the Government should implement Provident Fund (PF) to the workers like West Bengal Government had done and it should also regularise the part-time jobs.
