Centre responsible for people crossing over to HP: Dhumal
Shimla, Oct 4 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister P K Dhumal today held the UPA Government at Centre and J and K Government responsible for inflitration of people to HP last night.
Despite an increase in the instances of terrorist activities in various parts of the country, fuelled by Pakistan's ISI, the Manmohan Singh Government at Centre was following the policy of compromise with it, he said in a release here.
Mr Dhumal said Dr Singh's agreement with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf at Havana during the NAM summit in September this year was a clear indication that UPA leaders were least concerned for nation's dignity and self-respect.
Even after it became clear that ISI was involved in the Mumbai bomb blasts, Indian Government did not take a tough stand on the issue, he said, adding that the UPA government was more concerned about its own gains rather taking Pakistan to task over the issue.
Terming the crossing over of the people from Jammu and Kashmir as unfortunate, he said this showed the State government's failure in reigning the terrorist activities in the state.
The former Chief Minister said J and K Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, had forgotten the sacrifices of the martyrs by demanding clemency for the terrorist who had stormed the Parliament.
