BJP wants all party meet on assigned Lands

Hyderabad, Oct 4 (UNI) Alleging that the State Government was trying to acquire all assigned lands given to the poor by promulgating an Ordinance to the present assigned Land Act, BJP National Secretary and former minister B Dattatraya today demanded that the Government convene an all party meet on the issue.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, a copy of which was released to the press here, Mr Dattatraya said the Government should release a White Paper on the assigened lands, misused by the beneficiaries before acquiring the lands.

Demanding that Dr Reddy organise a open debate on assigned lands and land acquirement at Outer Ring Road (ORR), he wondered why the Government had amended the existing Land Acts.

Alleging that the Realtors and Industrialists had acquired assigned lands from the poor 'illegally', Mr Dattatraya demanded that the Government cancel the registration of these lands immediately.
