Bakshi leads in Sunfeast Chandigarh Junior golf

Chandigarh, Oct 4 (UNI) Rahul Bakshi returned a two-under 70 to assume the sole lead in Category 'A' of the Sunfeast Chandigarh Junior/Sub Junior Golf Championship at the par-72 Chandigarh Golf Club here today.

Bakshi's tally now stands at two-under 142 after the mid-way stage.

Overnight leader Rashid Khan carded two-over 74 to be placed second at one-under 143, while Abhijeet Chadha carded a 74 to occupy third place at 147.

Amanjyot was tied for fourth place with Abhinav Lohan at 149.

In the Category 'B', Raghav Bhandari led the field as he returned a card of two-over 74 to take his two-day tally to 149.

Anish Gupta was placed second at 150, while Chikkarangappa occupied the third place at 151.

In Category 'C', Ashbeer Singh Saini surged into the lead with a round of 76. He sits atop the leaderboard with a tally of 156, with Ankur Chadda trailing him by one shot at 157.

Tarundeep Chadha was placed third at 162.

In the junior most category 'D' which teed off today, Delhi's Vidit Singh shot an 82 to assume the lead, while Jai Raj Singh Sandhu and Akash Srinivasan occupied tied second place at 83.
