Another dry spell in Delhi: meet
New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) A spell of dry weather awaits Delhiites in the coming days with the South West Monsoon withdrawing from some more parts of North West India yesterday.
Following its exit from a majority of areas in NorthWest India last Wednesday, the South West monsoon has now withdrawn from several parts of West Uttar Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh, the weather office said.
Apart from the above areas, the Monsoon has also withdrawn from Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh&North Gujarat and some parts of Bihar and East Madhya Pradesh. The withdrawal line passes through Raxaul, Allahabad, Bhopal, Vallabha Vidyanagar and Porbandar.
For Delhi, which witnessed another dry and sunny day today, the withdrawal of the monsoon from most of North West India means the continuance of the dry spell in the coming days.
The maximum temperature in the capital today was recorded at 36 degree Celsius while the minimum was 21 degree C.
Though weathermen forecast isolated rain or thundershowers in Delhi in the next few days, dry weather is likely to prevail in remaining parts of NorthWest India, including Delhi.
For Delhi, weathermen forecast mainly clear sky likely to become partly cloudy towards the afternoon during the next 24 hours.
