AICC Depts chiefs for States named

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the appointments of state chairmen for the Departments of OBC, SCs, Ex-servicemen and Minorities for five States.

According to an AICC release issued here today by Mr Satyavrat Chaturvedi, incharge of AICC Departments, Mr Binod Chaudhary has been named as Chairman of the OBC Department of Uttar Pradesh.

Mr Mahendra Singh Kalyan, Mrs Geeta Bhukkal, Mr Anand Prakash Gautam and Mr Chengal Chellapan have been named chairmen of the SC Department for Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu respectively.

Col Bharat Singh and Maj D S Sandhu have been named chairperson of Ex-servicemen Department of Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh respectively.

Mr Walaja Hasan has been named chairman of Minority Department in Tamil Nadu,according to the release.
