ACC despatches 13.8 lakh tonnes of cement in September 2006

Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) Associated Cement Company Ltd(ACC) has for the month of September 2006 despatched 13.8 lakh tonnes of cement as compared to 12.8 lakh tonnes in the same month last year.

During this period, ACC produced 13.5 lakh tonnes of cement as against 12.5 lakh tonnes in the month of September 2005, the company said in a press release here.

Cumulative cement despatches for 9-months between January - September 2006 stood 138.2 lakh tonnes against 128.8 lakh tonnes in the comparable period of the previous year, while cumulative production stood at 137.9 lakh tonnes as compared to 128.5 lakh tonnes in January - September 2005.
