3 killed as tempo rams into stationary tipper lorry

Hubli, Oct 4 (UNI) Three people died on the spot while 18 others were injured when a tempo rammed into a stationary tipper lorry near Agadi cross on Pune-Bangalore national highway, today.

Police said the passengers of the tempo were returning to their village after attending a fair at Sagar in Shimoga district when the mishap occurred.

The deceased were identified as Basanagouda Patil (35), Sakre Nayak (45) and Mugbasappa (45) of Dharwad district.

The injured were admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences here.
