22-year-old Sena-BJP alliance broken
Mumbai, Oct 4 (UNI) The 22-year-old Shiv Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance in Maharashtra is on the brink.
The two parties were at loggerheads over the issue of claiming the seat of Chimur in Vidarbha, which feel vacant after sitting Sena MLA Vijay Vadettiwar, a Narayan Rane supporter, resigned from the House and joined the Congress recently.
The by-elections are scheduled to be held soon. Both the Sena and BJP had staked their claim for the seat in the by-polls.
Frantic efforts to contact senior Sena and BJP leaders to confirm the news proved futile.
