Torture by professor, friends drives youth to end life

Hubli, Oct 3 (UNI) An incident of an engineering college student allegedly committing suicide unable to bear the harassment by his professor and friends, has come to light.

According to a police complaint, Basavaraj Chakrasali had hanged himself at his residence on August eight last, fed up by the torture.

The truth came to light when the parents of the victim found his mobile phone while packing their belongings to shift their house.

Basavaraj had recorded his statement in the phone, before taking the extreme step.

Basavaraj's father lodged a police complaint along with a CD, containing the statement. Learning of the case being registered, the professor had fled the scene.
