Passengers "leave hijacked plane"-Italy authority

BRINIDISI, Italy, Oct 3 (Reuters) The Italian civil aviation authority said passengers have started to leave a hijacked Turkish Airlines plane which was forced to land in Italy today, but added the first people to leave were crew members who were due to be followed by passengers.

''Passengers have started to leave the plane,'' a spokeswoman for aviation authority ENAC said. Italy police told Reuters that the hijackers had given themselves up.
