Maruti domestic sales up 22 pc in Sep'06 but exports down by 2.5 pc

Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) Maruti Udyog Ltd has sold 56,606 vehicles in the domestic market in September 2006 as compared to 46,393 vehicles in the same month last fiscal, an increase of 22 per cent.

In a notice to BSE, the company said in all, the company sold 59,420 vehicles in September 2006 including 2,814 units of exports as compared to exports of 2,885 vehciles in the September 2005, showing thereby a decline of 2.5 per cent in exports.
