Aiyar to review Panchayati Raj in Manipur

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Union Minister for Panchayati Raj Mani Shankar Aiyar is leaving here tomorrow for Manipur to undertake review of Panchayati Raj in the State.

The Union Minister will attend panchayat programmes organised by the Manipur government at Kontha Khabam Gram Panchayat and Wangbal in Thoubal district. He will interact with the elected representatives of Panchayati Raj institutions.

A joint statement of conclusions is scheduled to be signed between Mr Aiyar and Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh on October 5, on the concluding day of the Union Minister's visit to the State, official sources said.
