Peaceful rally on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti

Mumbai, Oct 2 (UNI) Member of Parliament Priya Dutt today took out a rally at Juhu in North West Mumbai to create awareness among the masses about Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 137th birth anniversary.

The march began at 0930 hrs from SNDT college and culminated at the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Juhu beach.

Bollywood personalities, freedom fighters, students and several voluntary organisations took part in the peace rally.

The students had organised a street play on the theme of recently released 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'.

At the Juhu beach, Ms Dutt and others paid flower tributes to the stutue of Mahatma Gandhi.
