Vyjayanthimala, Vaali, among others conferred Sivaji award

Chennai, Oct 1 (UNI) Dr Sivaji Ganesan awards were conferred on actress Vyjayanthimala Bali, Lyricist Vaali and veteran stage actor A K Veerasamy at a function organised by the Sivaji Prabhu charity trust, to mark the 79th birth anniversay of Thespian.

The awards carrying a memento and a cash prize of Rs 50,000.

The Pondicherry Chief Minister N Rangaswamy gave away the awards and paid tributes to the winners for their achievements in their respective fields.

Ms Radhika Doraiswamy Chief Post Master General Tamil Nadu Circle released a special postal cover featuring Bhimsingh, a popular film director of yesteryear, as a tribute to the late cine personality.
