TTD nets record collection of Rs 1.42-crore in Brahmotsavam

Tirumala, Oct 1(UNI) Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) today netted a record collection of about Rs 1.42 crore against Rs 1.36 crore yesterday on the seventh-day of the nine-day annual Brahmotsavam festival in Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala.

TTD in a release here said that Hundi collection alone was Rs 98,76,000 while Arjitham (darsan tickets) fetched Rs 20,38,780.

sale of Vagapadi (laddu) netted Rs 16,12,828 and the rent collection was above Rs 7,61,365.

APSRTC transported above 1.18 lakh pilgrims from Tirupati to Tirumala by plying 3017 trips, while 18,931 pilgrims reached Tirumala by private vehiles.

TTD authorities provided necessary facilities to the piligrims, the release added.
