Six injured as high-tension wire falls on building

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Six people, including an infant and two children, received burn injuries when a high-tension wire fell on a building in Najafgarh area of South-West Delhi this afternoon.

Of the injured the condition of two -- Sunil (27) who received 100 per cent burn injuries and 3-month-old Arti, admitted to the hospital with 50 per cent burns -- is said to be critical, said the police.

The incident took place at about 1400 hrs in Roshan Garden area of Najafgarh following a spark in the overhead wire passing over the building where the victims lived.

The injured were rushed to the Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital.

Others injured were Mamta (24), with 25 per cent burn injuries and Rinku (30), with 20 per cent burns.

Two others -- Puja (7) and Amar (3) -- received minor burn injuries.
