Six including two women killed in road accident

Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, Oct 1 (UNI) Six people, including two women, were killed on the spot in a road accident when a van was rammed by a truck in Pydibheemavaram today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the truck, loaded with gas-cylinders, was proceeding to Srikakulam, hit the van coming from the opposite direction.

The victims were identified as R Srinivasarao (30), B Venkata Apparao (35), M Srinivasarao (35) and S Siddikumar. The women victims were yet to be identified.

The police swung into action by deploying proclainers and gas cutters to retrieve the van, which got entangled under the truck.

The truck driver and cleaner were absconding, police added.
