Four killed, one injured as car falls into gorge in HP

Shimla, Oct 1 (UNI) At least four people were killed and one was injured after the, they were traveling in, fell into a gorge at Bangora in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh early today, police sources said.

The accident occurred at Bangora, about 25 km from here, at about 0530 hrs while the car was on the way to Shimla from Kullu.

The sources said while three people, identified as Prem Raj, Bhagat Verma and Chetan Kumar, were killed on the spot, the fourth, identified as Anil Kumar, died at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital here where he had been admitted after the accident.

The bodies were handed over to their relatives after post mortem examinations, the sources said.

The cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known and the sources said investigations were on to ascertain the reason.

A case has been registered, they added.
