Flood in Indravati river, 2 villages surrounded by water
Jagdalpur, Oct 1 (UNI) Heavy rains and the release of water from Orissa's Khatiguda dam have flooded the Indravati river and two villages in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district were surrounded by water.
As per official information, the water level of Indravati river increased following the release of 185 cusec water from Khatiguda dam and heavy rains in Indravati river.
Traffic was thrown off gear at Jagdalpur Raipur National Highway during the past 24 hours due to water-logging. Normalcy was restored today.
A youth went missing after he was swept away by a strong current when his boat capsized in Koder river at Kadner village in Kanker district. Rana Pratap had gone for fishing when the incident occurred.
