CRPF jawan injured in naxal attack
Jagdalpur, Oct 1 (UNI) A CRPF jawan was today injured when naxals triggered a landmine explosion on a patrol team at Chhidpal village in Chhattisgarh's Kanker district, police said.
The CRPF jawans were going on their motorcycles when the ultras triggered the blast. A fiery exchange followed but no casualty was reported from either side.
Patrolling had been intensified in naxal-affected areas following a bandh call by the rebels over killing of a naxal commander in the South Bastar region.
However, reports of road blockades from several places were received.
