Bharti Mittal bags 'The Honorary Fellowship' award

New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) Mr Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel Ltd has joined the league of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Dr Homi Bhabha and our current President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam by winning 'The Honorary Fellowship'.

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) conferred its highest honour, 'The Honorary Fellowship' on Sunil Mittal.

Mr Mittal was honoured for his scientific vision and invaluable contribution to the progress of electronics and telecommunications.

The honour is accorded on persons of eminence who are achievers in the field of Electronics, Telecommunication and Information Technology or have made valuable contribution in the aforesaid fields for the betterment of the society.

Other past recipients of 'The Honorary Fellowship' from IETE includes Dr S Radhakrishnan, Mr Lal Bahadur Shashtri, Mr Ratan N Tata, Professor Yash Pal, Dr R A Mashelkar, Mr Azim Premji and Dr F C Kohli.

The IETE is India's leading professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technlogy of electronics, Telecommunication and IT. It serves more than 52,000 members through its 52 centres all over India and abroad.
