Anil Sheolekar elected Poona Club President

Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Anil Sheolekar was elected as president at Annual General Body Meeting of the Poona Club late last night.

Sheolekar who is currently the golf captain of the Poona Club polled 835 votes as against his rival Satish Khot (524) in the election for the president's post for two-year term.

Rajendra Shah (691) and Rekha Krishnan (668) were elected as the Vice-Presidents on the occasion.

Among the committee members, Cyrus Patel (808), Shantilal Sanghvi (716), Chandu Dabhade (653) have retained their posts as committee members.

Former Joint Secretary of Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) Victor Ellis (583) and Sq. Ldr B R Gulati (577) have been elected as the new members of the committee. Gulati, comes back into the committe after a gap of two years.

A total of 1,400 members voted in the election.
