Woman arrested for swindling bank out of Rs 80 lakh

Bangalore, Sep 30 (UNI) The city police today arrested a 35-year-old woman on a charge of cheating a bank of Rs 80 lakh.

Police said Drakshayani from Basaveshwaranagar had duped ICICI Bank in the city of the cash by producing fake documents.

They said the accused was arrested when she tried to take out a loan of Rs 40 lakh for a second time.

They said she had also taken a loan of Rs 45 lakh earlier by producing fake documents.

Police arrested her following the complaint lodged by the bank officials.
