Woman arrested for cheating bank of Rs 80 lakh

Bangalore, Sept 30 (UNI) City police today arrested a 35-year old woman on charges of cheating a bank of Rs 80 lakh.

Police said that Drakshayani from Basaveshwaranagar had cheated ICICI Bank in the city of the cash by producing fake documents.

They said that the accused was arrested when she tried to raise a loan of Rs 40 lakh for a second time.

They said she had taken a loan of Rs 45 lakh earlier by producing fake documents.

Police arrested her following the complaint lodged by the bank officials.
