State Bank of India co-sponsors 8th Raid-de-Himalaya car rally

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) The 8th 'Raid-de-Himalaya 2006' is being co-sponsored by State Bank of India. SBI with its wide network, hassle free and customer friendly auto loans product has played an important role in fueling auto finance market.

In the last financial year it has shown a record growth in its portfolio and improved overall penetration creating a strong auto brand image, a release said.

The rally is listed on the international off-road rallies calender of the FIM, Geneva, Switzerland as one of the 12 events worldwide that make the listing.

The rally would be flagged off from Shimla from today and culminate at Manali on October 6 after passing through the most inhospitable terrains in India.

The prize distribution ceremony would be held at Manali on October 7 in the presence of local dignataries and the sponsors of the event.
