Panchayat election to be conducted soon in J'khand: Koda

Daltonganj, Sep 29 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today said Panchayat election would be conducted soon in the state, saying the state government had initiated steps for the speedy disposal of the petitions filed in the Supreme Court in this regard.

Addressing a gathering at Hussainabad in Palamu district here, Mr Koda said the government wanted to conduct the Panchayat election soon for the betterment of people living in rural areas.

Meanwhile, referring to the issue of Forward Bloc MLA, he said the warrant issued by the court did not restrict the Legislator in becoming a Minister.
