India fall to 7th spot in ODI rankings; Oz continue to dominate

New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) Yuvraj Singh, after losing his top spot last week, has now fallen further down to the eighth position, being the only Indian in the top-10 while Australia continue their monopoly on the top spot in both ODI and Test team rankings in the Maruti Suzuki Cricket Ratings.

India are placed seventh (51 points) among the ODI teams, and fifth in the Test rankings with 78 points.

In the ODI bowling chart four Indians -- Harbhajan Singh (180), Ajit Agarkar (174) Irfan Pathan (169) and Sreesanth (165) -- are placed fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth respectively.

Skipper Rahul Dravid, with 158 points is placed third in Test batting and is the only Indian among the top-10 while in bowling, Anil Kumble is placed second (190) and Harbhajan Singh is at tenth slot (150).

Sanath Jayasuriya moves to No one in the ODI batting chart on the strength of some fabulous batting performances against England and Bangladesh. Jayasuriya (134) leaves Michael Hussey (129) and team-mate Mahela Jayawardene (127 points) in the second and third spot respectively in 0DI batting followed by Ramnaresh Sarwan (125), Younis Khan (124) and Upul Tharanga (122).

England's Ian Bell (120) is the new entrant this week at seventh spot. Yuvraj Singh (119) falls to the eighth spot followed by Mohammad Yousuf (118) and Kumar Sangakarra (116).

In the ODI bowling charts, Brett Lee (191) storms into the No one spot followed by team mate Nathan Bracken (188) and West Indies speedster Jerome Taylor (183).

Mohammad Yousuf (170) is very closely followed by Sri Lankan Skipper Mahela Jayawardane (166) in Test Batting. Australian captain Ricky Ponting (161),Rahul Dravid (158) and Pakistan Vice Captain Younis Khan (154) follow in the third, fourth and fifth place respectively.

The next five ranks are occupied by Michael Hussey (151 points) Kumar Sangakkara (148), Kevin Pietersen (144), Mathew Hayden (142) and Inzamam Ul-Haq (136).

In test bowling Muttiah Muralitharan maintains his hold on the top spot (197) over 2nd placed Anil Kumble (190). South Africa pace man Makhaya Ntini (187) leads Shane Warne (184) followed by Aussie Brett Lee (178) and his English counterparts Mathew Hoggard (172), Steve Harmison (168) and Andrew Flintoff (161) in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eight spot. England's, Monty Panesar (155) at No nine is followed by his Indian opposite number Harbhajan Singh (150).

Australia (94) lead the ODI team rankings followed by South Africa (81 points), Sri Lanka (70), West Indies (65), Pakistan (59), New Zealand (54), India (51), England (33), Bangladesh (25), Zimbabwe (21) and Kenya (4).

In the Test Team rankings Australia continue to lead with 126 points followed by. Sri Lanka (95), England (90), Pakistan (87), India (78), New Zealand (71), South Africa (65), West Indies (11) and Bangladesh and Zimbabwe (0 each).
