Host of celebrities from politics, business

New Delhi, Sep 29 (UNI) In a rare hapenning, a host of celebrities from the world of politics, business and entertainment shared the stage at an event in the capital recently.

However, neither politics nor business seemed to be on the minds of Union Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, senior Congress leader Satish Sharma, former Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, business tycoons Vijay Mallya and Lalit Suri and film maker Subhash Ghai as they "let their hair down" at an event on Wednesday night to announce the lrease of 'Zindagi Rocks', the debut film production venture by the Bag Films. Marking the launch of the film , starring the sultry Sushmita Sen, handsome Shiney Ahuja, and yesteryear actress Maushmi Chaterjee, was a music concert which saw racking performances by Suhmita and Shiney to the medley of songs from the film.

The ineluctable charm of former Miss Universe Sushmita, the infectious enthusiasm of music director Anu Malik and the pulsating melody of rock music had the audience at the concert, which comprised the whose who of the media fraternity, being virtually swept off their feet.

Speaking on the occasion, businessman Vijay Mallya said he was here just to watch Suhmita perform.

''I am here only to watch Sushmita Sen. I have been a huge fan of her since she burst upon the Indian cultural scene after winning the Miss universe title,''Mallya told mediapersons.

Later, bestowing a momento to Sushmita Sen, he said,''it is a dream for me to share the stage with the world's most beautiful woman.'' For the charming Sushmita, being among the people of Delhi was a homecoming of sorts.

''Delhi has been a home to me for 13 years,. I traversed my journey from an ordinary life to a rocking existence after winning the Miss universe title. Being here after so many years, it still feels like home,''she said.

Among other noted celebrities who graced the event were Indian Express editor-in-chief Shekhar Gupta, famous cartoonist Sudhir Tailang, cricketer Yuvraj Singh and filmmaker Subhash Ghai.

Being produced and presented by Anuradha Prasad and written and directed by talented filmmaker Tanuja Chandra, 'Zindagi Rocks' is a love story between Dr Suraj Rehan (played by Shiney Ahuja), a shy workalholic and Kria (Sushmita Sen), a magnetic woman and a rockstar.

The film also features Kim Sharma, Maushmi Chaterjee, Ravi Gosain, Seema Biswas and child artist Julian.

Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director of BAG films, Anurraddha Prasad, said,''Zindagi rocks is a film depicting happiness, values and the depth of life rather than its length.
