CBI court grants bail to accused in FACT contract case
Kochi, Sep 29 (UNI) The Ernakulam CBI court today granted bail to all the arrested by the investigative agency in the FACT Liquid Ammonia transport contract case.
A special Judge granted bail on condition that the accused should surrender their passports to court and not leave the limits of the district.
They shall also execute bond for Rs 50,000 each with two solvent sureties.
The CBI yesterday arrested Deputy Manager K P Balagopalan and nine former senior officials of the Fertiliser and Chemicals Travancore (FACT), including two General Managers, in connection with a Rs 78 crore corruption case relating to irregularities in awarding contract to a private company for the transportation of ammonia.
