Wipro allots over 25,000 equity shares

New Delhi, Sep 28: IT major Wipro Ltd today said it will allot 25,075 equity shares of par value of Rs 2 to JP Morgan Chase Bank.

''The Administrative Committee of the company's Board has resolved to issue and allot 25,075 equity shares of par value of Rs 2 to JP Morgan Chase Bank, the company's depository as underlying shares in respect of ADRs to be issued and allocated to the purchasers, pursuant to the exercise of the stock options granted to the employees under Wipro's ADS Stock Option Plan 2000,'' a company statement said.

Besides, the company will allot 78,840 equity shares of Rs 2 each, pursuant to exercise of the stock options by the eligible employees under the Wipro Employee Stock Options (WESOP 2000).
