ULFA triggers blast in Digboi, wounding six people

Guwahati, Sep 28 (UNI) In a major blast triggered by ULFA, six people, including two Army jawans, were wounded critically in oil town of Digboi in Asom this evening, police said.

This was thefirst offensive by the outlawed ULFA after the Union government withdrew truce on Tuesday.

The injured were taken to local hospital, police added.

Details of the blast were being investigated.

Police said at about 1800 hrs the blast ripped through a busy area wounding six people including two army personnel.
