Two more letter bombs found
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 28 (UNI) Two more 'letter bombs' were unearthed here today even as the investigation on the recovery of similar packets containing explosive substances, a few days back was progressing.
Police said two 'letter bombs' were found in a letter box at Mankuzhi under the Kariyavattom post office. The postal workers who found the letters weighing 48 grams posted without affixing sufficient stamps, became suspicious and informed the higher authorities.
Police officials later confirmed that the envelopes contained explosive substances similar to those found in the other letters, two of which exploded in the post offices.
The bomb squad took the letters for further investigation.
One engineering student was arrested in connection with the first incident yesterday.
