Three dead, 10 injured in roof collapse

Hardwar, Sep 28 (UNI) Three people died and 10 others were injured when roof of a factory under construction collapsed at Integrated Industrial Estate at Roshnabad here this afternoon.

SSP Abhinav Kumar and othere officials have rushed to the spot to take stock of rescue operations.

Vice-chairman of the company, R S Mehra announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakh to the next of the kin of the deceased and also a job to a family member.

He said Rs one lakh will be provided to those with serious injuries and Rs 50,000 to those with minor injuries.

All the victims, dead and injured, were labourers.

In another accident, one person was killed when a tractor trolley ran over him near Dhanauri, about 10 km from Roorkee. Its driver, Irfan, ha been arrested.
