SPO and HM militant among three killed in J

Srinagar, Sep 28 (UNI) A Special Police Officer (SPO) and a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant were among three people killed in Jammu and Kashmir overnight, official sources said.

They said unidentified gunmen entered a house at Devar Lolab and shot dead one Haseena last night.

Militants shot at and wounded one Kaleem Ullah, a medical shop owner, near Janglat Mandi Anantnag in south Kashmir today. He was admitted to hospital.

They said a SPO was killed and another wounded when militants attacked a search party at Sangldan in Udhampur district of Jammu region last night. Militants later managed to escape under the cover of darkness, the sources added.

A HM militant was killed in an encounter at Ramban in Doda district last night. The encounter ensued after a search party was attacked by the militants. One AK rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
