Rupee weakens by 3 paise closes at 45.93/USD

Mumbai, Sep 28: Indian Rupee today weakened by three paise to close at Rs 45.93 per US Dollar compared to the previous close of Rs 45.90 per USD, a money market trader said.

Earlier Rupee opened at Rs 45.92/93 per US Dollar and in the mid- morning traded at Rs 45.91/92 per USD.

The Reseve Bank of India today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 45.92 per USD flat compared to the previous rate of Rs 45.92 per USD.

The performance of Rupee against other currencies however improved, against Euro it was up at Rs 58.30 (58.34), against Pound Sterling it was up at Rs 86.10 (86.85), and against Yen it was up at Rs 38.98 (39.16).
