Rs four lakh teakwood logs seized in AP
Rajahmundry, Sep 28 (UNI) Teakwood and other logs worth more than Rs four lakh floating in river Godavari was seized by the forest department, both in East and West Godavari districts.
Conservator of forests (Rajahmundry circle) M Ramoprasad, in a release here today said the officials under Kakinada Forest division at Purushothampatnam seized ten teakwood and other variety logs worth Rs one lakh floating in the river on Saturday night. The officials of Eluru Forest division, Polavaram range, recovered from the river 26 ft long teakwood logs and other logs measuring one ft, totally worth Rs three lakh on Tuesday, the release added.
