RITES registers 78 per cent increase in turnover
New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) RITES, a profit-making public sector undertaking under the Railway Ministry, has registered a turnover of Rs 426 crore, registering an increase of 78 per cent in the fiscal 2005-06.
The turnover of Rs 426 crore is the highest-ever achieved by the company so far. Its overseas business has registered a growth of 163 per cent, RITES Chairman R K Rao said today.
Mr Rao, who is also a Member (Mechanical) of the Railway Board, said the company had declared a dividend of Rs l2 crore.
He also congratulated RITES on securing prestigious contract worth Rs 559 crore.
During the year, the Planning Commission has asked RITES to carry out a multi-modal transport plan, feasibility study and pre-engineering survey for dedicated freight corridors.
