Raj Babbar moots Farmers Security Commission
Basti, Sep 28 (UNI) Jan Morcha (JM) leader and actor Raj Babbar today mooted setting up of a Farmers Security Commission in the country for improving their dismal condition.
Addressing newspersons here, Mr Babbar claimed the condition of farmers was deplorable and as such there was an urgent need to set up the Commission on the lines of the Human Rights Commission.
Castigating the Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government, he said Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and other party leaders had strayed from the path of socialist thinker Dr Ram Manohar Lohia.
A 'Mukti Sangram Yatra' organised by hisa party is currently under way in eastern Uttar Pradesh. ''The Yatra aims at mobilising people against the Mulayam regime,'' the suspended SP leader and Agra MP said.
Mr Babbar also said Assembly election to be held next year should be conducted under President's rule to ensure their are free and fair.
