Orissa Vigilance attaches property of 5 convicted officials
Bhubaneswar, Sep 28 (UNI) The Orissa Vigilance, has attached the property of four retired government officials and an Orissa Administrative Officer, on charges of possessing disproportionate assets to their known sources of income.
Vigilance sources here today said all the five convicted officials were trying to dispose of their disproportionate property to avoid confiscation.
The Khurda District Judge had attached assets of a former Chief Engineer of Rural Works Bichitrananda Muduli worth Rs 3.09 crore, Rs 6496 lakh from former Engineer in Chief (Civil) S K B Narayan and Rs 1.45 crore from former Motor Vehicle Inspector (MVI) Jawaharlal Patra.
Property worth over Rs 43.96 lakh from OAS officer Bharat Bhusan Jagdeb and over Rs 31.40 lakh from a former Horticulturist had also been attached by the Vigilance, official sources said.
