Bhopal, Sep 28 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee today submitted a memorandum to Governor Balram Jakhar to protest the alleged insult of judges by police in Indore.

Referring to the September 20 incident when four judges, who were on their way to courts, were forced to alight from the government vehicle and humiliated, PCC spokesman Deepchand Yadav said the incident took place at the instance of the BJP Government.

''The fourth pillar of democracy had been insulted and reflected fascist attitude of the state government,'' he claimed.

Dr Jakhar assured the Congress delegation that the matter will be investigated and strict action would be taken against the culprits.

Earlier, while talking to reporters, Congress spokespersons K K Mishra and Brijmohan Srivastava demanded strict action against culprits.

They said it was the responsibility of the government to maintain the dignity of constitutional institutions.
